X-men: Drabble - The Nearness of You

So I thought I'd try to do one of those 'write a fic for the first 10 songs on
your ipod' things except I'd use Pandora. I didn't get past song 1. I forgot
to write and enjoyed the songs instead....oops.
Here's my 3.5 minute fic. Any and all feedback appreciated.
The nearness of you
-Norah Jones
Remy wondered when he was going to be able to catch a break. He was orphaned,
with powers that made his life harder than it should have been. He met up with
Logan, a man that made Remy feel like someone else was using their charm power
for once. They talked, they fought, they planned mass destruction and mayhem
together. And every so often, they loved.
Then that man, Logan, forgets everything. He even forgot his own name. What
else could Remy do but leave him on the beach and wish him good luck and
goodbye. C'est la vie, eh?

X-men: Drabble - Sunday
Sep. 23rd, 2009 | 03:05 am
So, I'm doing a dump of everything I posted on the yahoo group. I looked that this one, and honestly, I have no freaking clue how I figured these two drabbles were interconnected. I think I was talking about Ethereal and this one that was called Sunday (only b/c that's the day it was written on). But, hey, I said I was on paint fumes that day.

So, I didn't intend for any drabbles to be interconnected, and I can almost
guarantee they won't be (anymore I guess). This one is brought to you courtesy
of Valspar paints. I needed a break from the fumes. I think sleepy drabbles
are better than semi comatose ones. Sorry.
----------------------------------------
It was the kind of thing that Remy just couldn't resist – stealing from the
government for the government. He hated Stryker and would steal from him any
day. The military was only covering their ass, not being altruistic to
Stryker's victims. He settled down with his bourbon to read over his private
copy of the data he creatively acquired. Inside he found surveillance
documentation on Logan from sometime starting in the 1920's right up until 3
Mile Island. Remy sighed. He couldn't seem to get away from the man. He
smirked as he made preparations to let Logan catch him.
---------------------------------------- --
It was her voice. He could listen to her lazy southern drawl for hours. He
didn't know if he always had this fetish southern accents, but he spent so much
time in New Orleans, it had to be pre-existing. He remembered the lecture he
got on how the Mississippi accent was nothing like a Louisiana one. He nodded
and hmm'ed occasionally, but it was still her voice. It made him smile while
making him feel like a man in the dead of winter who missed the sun. He settled
back and enjoyed her *Mississippi* accent for a little while longer.

X-men: Drabble - Ethereal

Pandora, insomnia and stress produced this one. I'm going on 23 hours awake.
Hopefully this is not too terrible.

Away
-Breaking Benjamin
There was a scent in the back of his nose, an itch he couldn't get rid of. He
just couldn't place it. It wasn't in his clothes or on his skin. He couldn't
find any candles, soap or shampoos in any store that matched it. It had driven
him so crazy, he even braved a Bath & Body works. That was…an unfortunate
experience. He couldn't smell anything for hours afterwards, and he swore that
he had erased the scent totally. He was wrong. It was hot, humid, sweat and
musk. It was another question that he needed find an answer to.

X-men: Drabble - Quiescent
Sep. 23rd, 2009 | 02:54 am
This was posted to the Logan/Remy yahoo group on 9/10/09
Title: Quiescent
Author: luvsjazz
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: All characters are the property of Marvel Comics.
Logan never had to take time off to recover, at least not physically. Used to
be that he would just take off for a while and return whenever. No one
mentioned the fact that he had been in residence at the mansion for longer than
anyone could remember. Remy was there when he needed to talk, laugh, or just
sit in silence. When Remy was gone, he stayed because he knew the Cajun would
always return.
They always say that running never solves anything. He never believed that
staying in one place would either. He's learning to change his mind.

Drabble: X-Men - The Symphony
Sep. 23rd, 2009 | 02:50 am

Title: The Symphony
Author: luvsjazz
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: All characters belong to Marvel Comics.
No one had ever asked him to the symphony before. Everyone assumed that he was
brash and uncultured; that his wilderness ways wouldn't mesh with the posh and
polished crowd. He'd been a time or two, but no one had ever asked.
It had been a long time since someone asked him to the symphony. Here, he was
but a thief. An ignominious occupation, therefore he must be an ignominious
man. So no one ever asked.
Storm had never set anyone up to go to the symphony before. But she was a
goddess, and godesses took care of their own.
